Astradial can record phone calls automatically. Recordings are stored on your server and accessible from the call history.

Listen to a recording

1

Go to Calls

Click Calls in the sidebar.
2

Find the call

Look for calls that have a Play button in the Recording column. Only calls with actual conversation time have recordings — missed calls or unanswered calls do not.
3

Click Play

Click the play button. An audio player appears at the bottom of the screen showing:
  • The caller and receiver numbers
  • Call time and duration
  • Play/pause controls
  • A progress bar you can drag to seek
  • A download button

Download a recording

Click the Download button in the recording column or in the audio player. The recording file will download to your computer.
Download is only available to Owner and Admin roles. Managers can listen but cannot download.

If you see a disabled play button with a tooltip saying “You don’t have permission to access recordings”, your role does not have recording access.

When are calls recorded?

Calls are recorded when:
  • Recording is enabled for the user’s extension (set in user settings)
  • The call is answered and has conversation time
  • The recording system is working and has disk space
Calls are not recorded when:
  • The call was not answered (NO ANSWER status)
  • Recording is disabled for that extension
  • The call had zero talk time
