# Call history

> View and search through all past calls — see who called, when, how long they talked, and what happened.

The call history gives you a complete record of every call that goes through your phone system. Go to **Calls** in the sidebar and you will see the **Call History** tab.

## What you see

Each row in the call history table shows:

| Column        | What it shows                                                     |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **From** | The phone number or extension that made the call |
| **To** | The phone number or extension that was called |
| **Duration** | How long the actual conversation lasted (not including ring time) |
| **Direction** | Inbound, Outbound, or Internal |
| **Status** | ANSWERED, NO ANSWER, FAILED, or BUSY |
| **Recording** | Play and download buttons (if a recording exists) |
| **Time** | When the call started |

## Filter calls

Use the **direction filter** dropdown at the top to show only:

* **All directions** — Every call
* **Inbound** — Calls that came in from outside
* **Outbound** — Calls that went out to phone numbers
* **Internal** — Calls between extensions inside your organization

## View call journey

Click on any call row to expand it and see the **Call Journey** — a step-by-step timeline of what happened during the call:

* When the call started
* Which queue it entered (if any)
* When it was answered and by whom
* Any transfers that happened
* When the call ended

Each step shows the time, action name, and duration. This is helpful for understanding exactly how a call was handled.

## Pagination

The history shows 20 calls per page. Use the **Previous** and **Next** buttons at the bottom to navigate between pages. The current page number is shown between the buttons.

## Call statuses explained

| Status        | What it means                                                     |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **ANSWERED** | Someone picked up the call and had a conversation |
